 Lancaster County ACTION Bus Trip Thursday, April 27, 2023
WHERE; The Faith & Liberty Discovery Center, Philadelphia PA WHEN; Thursday, April, 27, 2023 TIME; 8:30 AM till 5:00 PM COST; for Elite Coach, $50 per person. Make checks payable to Bob Kettering, PLEASE send in by April 1st to Address; LCA P.O. Box 29 Elizabethtown, PA 17022 COST; for admission at The Faith & Liberty Discovery Center; Adults $10, Students (with College ID) $9, Child age 7-17 $8, Child age 6 and under are free. Elite Coach leaves from 1685 W Main St. Ephrata PA 17522 at 8:30am. Arrives at The Faith & Liberty Discovery Center at 4th & Market St. Philadelphia at 10:30 AM We will tour the F&LDC first. We have 41/2 hours till the bus leaves for home. You can spend the whole time in the F&LDC or you can see some of the other attractions within walking distance. The Independence Visitors Center is about a block west of the F&LDC at 6th &Market St. There you can use the rest rooms and there is a cafe if you need lunch or drinks. They will also help you plan to see any other sites around Independence Mall (all within walking distance). The Visitors Center has free WiFi & you can down load the free National Park Service mobile APP that has a map of the Mall and all the sites to see. You will be on your own for lunch. If you didn't bring a bag lunch there are several eateries, restaurants and historic taverns nearby. Some other sites to see; The Liberty Bell is about a block west of the Visitor Center. Independence Hall & Congress Hall are about a block away from the Visitor Center. The Museum of the American Revolution is about three blocks east of Independence Hall on Chestnut St. The American Bible Society is right across the street from F&LDC. The bus will leave for Ephrata at 3 PM from 4th & Market St. (the same place we were dropped off). Arriving back in Ephrata at 5 PM.
